THIS BIG BUNDLE CONTAINS THE INTRODUCTION TO JESUS LESSON BUNDLE, IN ADDITION TO THE KNOWLEDGE ORGANISER! This series of interesting and engaging lessons aims to equip children with a solid foundation understanding of the life and significance of Jesus Christ. The lessons offer a broad outline of the events in his life, focusing more heavily on two particularly important moments (his baptism and the last week of his life). The bundle contains the following lessons: His Significance Key Events in His Life Representations of Jesus Jesus’ Baptism The Easter Story In each lesson, the learning is guided by a clear and colourful PowerPoint presentation, which guides students through logical, step-by-step activities. There are also clear hyperlinks for the video resources, and engaging, well-structured worksheets for the activities. In the past, I have used these lessons with children from across Key Stage 2 - the key learning is aligned with curriculum expectations for RE, and also the content prescribed by most diocese regions. Collective Worship - Big Bundle!

These fun and original collective worships sessions aim to aid children in developing their understanding of Christian themes. The bundle contains collective worship sessions on compassion, honesty, endurance, humility and celebrating differences. All of the sessions have been tried and tested, and have always been really well received in the past. The slides are visually engaging and well-presented, and the subject matter is tailored to the interests and needs of young people. For example, there are references to scenarios and dilemmas that they themselves might find themselves in, in order to help them to make the right choices in their own lives. Each session also links to an apt bible story, each of which has been modified to suit a younger audience. There are also fun role-play activities, beautiful, thought-provoking videos exemplifying each theme, and various discussion activities regarding how to show the skills in different areas of their own lives. No further resources are required, everything that you need to present the sessions is included. Each set of slides are fairly self-explanatory, but I’ve included two pages of notes to assist the speaker. Hope that you find this useful!

These engaging and informative lessons provide students with a well-rounded introductory understanding of the Bible. Throughout the sequence of lessons, children understand the structure of the Bible, the content in different sections, and how to find Bible passages through references. Children learn that the Bible can be interpreted from fundamentalist or liberal perspectives. Furthermore, two sections of the Bible are explored in more depth: those relating to the Ten Commandments and the Creation story. The lessons are best taught in the following order: Introduction to the Bible Bible Structure and Referencing Types of Writing in the Bible The Ten Commandments Respect for the Bible Interpretations of the Bible The Creation Story Human Responsibility Each lesson contains a comprehensive and colourful Powerpoint (each of at least 15 slides), which guide teachers and students through the learning activities. Challenge activities are provided in order to enrich learning for higher-attaining learners. Where appropriate, eye-catching and helpful worksheets and templates (in both Word and PDF) are also included. Within most lessons, children are asked questions and set challenges to develop their own personal spirituality. In the past, I have used these lessons with children from across Key Stage 2 - the key learning is aligned with national expectations for RE, and also the content prescribed by most diocese regions. The resources are suitable for home learning however the first couple of lessons work best if children have access to a physical Bible. All images are licensed for commercial use, and are cited on the final slide.
